CREATION STATION (rising K-5th grades - Ms. Laura Sexton) - Do you have a wild and crazy imagination? Journey with Ms. Sexton and make kooky concoctions in Creation Station! We will create some wild and wacky science “goo” and other surprises, as well as use different techniques such as paper maché, mosaic and texture painting to create magnificent masterpieces. This camp is all about discovering a variety of ordinary materials that we can use to whip up some extraordinary creations. If this camp causes a fascination, make your destination Creation Station.
PAJAMA PARTY (rising K-5th grades - Miss Katie Anderson) - Pick out your favorite PJs and get ready for a pajama party you’ll never forget! We’ll create several exciting crafts, play games and even watch some movie clips in our sleeping bags! We will also paint our nails, have some “girl talk” time and make some fabulous jewelry. UP, UP AND AWAY (rising K-5th grades - Mrs. Terry Drosback) - It’s a bird…It’s a plane… It’s Up, Up and Away Camp! Grab your jet pack and get ready to rocket into the sky! We’ll explore different types of air and space travel such as airplanes, rockets and hot air balloons. We’ll also fly kites and learn about types of clouds and our solar system. After designing and creating our very own special aircrafts, we’ll launch them into the air, race them and see which types of materials will fly the highest and longest. Join us for a week of high-flying fun!
SPX CHEER & DANCE Camp(rising K-6th grades - Miss Holly Navarro) - “We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about you?” This is a great camp for beginners interested in learning the fundamentals of cheerleading. Campers will learn chants, cheers, jumps, and basic cheer moves. This week will also emphasize dance moves as we develop a dance to an energy-packed song. There will be a special performance and spirit awards day for parents and siblings on the last day of camp. Get your smile ready as you prepare to learn the moves to inspire school spirit!
CHOCOLATE DELIGHT (rising 2nd-9th grades - Mrs. Cathy Brown) - Triple chocolate cake, brownies, Mississippi Mudpies, chocolate candies, dirt cake and chocolate fondue…are you hungry yet? Who doesn’t enjoy sweet, creamy chocolate? This week will be chock full of scrumptious, chocolatey desserts. Each day we will make and sample a new delicious chocolate treat. If you love chocolate, this is the place to be. Bring your sweet tooth and enjoy a week full of yummy sweetness! CLOSED!!!
SENIOR SOCCER STARS (rising 4th-9th grades - Coach Chrissy Verchick) - Do you love to play soccer? Join us for an action-packed week of fancy footwork and games galore! We’ll cover all the basic skills needed to be an SPX Camps Soccer Star. We will put our soccer skills to use in small-sized games, team play, world cuppies and much more. Be ready to run and have some fun!

NOTE TO SPX VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PARTICIPANTS: VBS at Saint Pius X Church will take place the week of June 14-18, 2010 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. If you would like to attend a half-day of camp this week (12:00 pm - 3:00 pm), our camp staff will be ready to pick you up and escort you to the school campus! Camps are offered to VBS registrants at half-price this week; just be sure to note this on your registration form and adjust your payment. Please contact Lori Warren with any questions.
