CAMP-OUT (rising K-5th grades – Mrs. Denise Jones) – Do you enjoy camping and the outdoors? Be ready to pitch a tent for a week of cool camping adventures. We’ll make binoculars for bird watching and lanterns to light our camp site. Sticks collected from hiking will be turned into art. Singing camp songs, wearing our campfire caps, and fishing in the pond will be great fun. Hot dogs and s’mores on Friday will be a scrumptious end to this adventurous camp.
GLITZY GLAMOUR GIRLS (rising K-5th grades – Ms. Laura Sexton) – If sparkles, rhinestones, glitter, and sequins excite you, then shimmer your way into this camp! We are looking for glitzy glamour girls to add some bling to rather ordinary fashion – hair bows, purses, mirrors, t-shirts, caps, and tote bags. We’ll make shimmering jewelry boxes for our sparkling handmade jewelry, and of course every glamour girl will twinkle in her very own sparkling tiara. So glitzy girls, what are you waiting for? It’s your week to shine!
GROSS YUCKIER SCIENCE (rising K-5th grades – Mrs. Lucinda Hernandez) – If you enjoyed last year’s Gross Yucky Science Camp, then wait until you see what repulsive things we have in store for you this summer! Learn the science behind all of the stranger things in life. We’ll answer questions like “why do our ears produce wax?” and “what exactly is snot?” Gross! We’ll also dig in the dirt and talk about all sorts of creepy crawlers. Doesn't eating blood clot and brains cake and phlegm brûlée sound yummy? From making our own “snot” slime to bloody fingers, you’re sure to have a disgustingly good time!
SPX TALENT SEARCH (rising K-9th grades – Mrs. Elizabeth Channel & Ms. Tamara Jackson) – Do you enjoy singing, dancing, performing magic tricks, playing instruments, acting, or simply showing off on stage? No matter what your talent is, this camp has something to offer! We will help you to build self-esteem, develop stage presence, and discover your best talent. Learn how to present yourself in front of an audience of people, take photos and videos, and make your very own portfolio. We will have fun with Karaoke, play dance games and prepare for our big talent show on Friday. ALL-STAR SOCCER CAMP (rising 4th-9th grades - Coach Chrissy Verchick) – Do you love action? If so, then you’ll enjoy running, juggling, shooting, and dribbling - all with a soccer ball! We will spend the week developing our skills, playing games, and working on our fitness all in a fun-filled, fast-paced environment. Whether you are an experienced soccer star or just a beginner, you’ll still find this week fun and challenging. Come play the game the whole world loves! You’ll even have Page High School Varsity soccer players working with you each day to add to your experience.
LEARN TO DRAW (rising 4th–9th grades – Mrs. Lynn Brunhuber) – If you have always wanted to learn how to draw or if you already love to draw, you won’t want to miss this camp! We’ll start with stick figures and work our way towards realistic renderings! Once you learn the basic fundamental principles, you’ll want to release your imagination and creative ability to produce an awesome work of art! Drawing, painting, and collage are wonderful ways to release that unique artistic talent that is within each of us. Mediums used will be pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, and color pencils.
