KINDERGARTEN KICK-OFF (rising SPX Kindergarteners – Mrs. Laura Collins & Mrs. Janet Logan) - Learn everything you’ll need to know about Kindergarten at Saint Pius in Mrs. Collins’s and Mrs. Logan’s Kindergarten Kickoff Camp! Overcome the usual first day Kindergarten jitters by spending the week meeting your teachers, getting to know your new Kindergarten friends, taking a tour of the school, visiting specials classrooms, enjoying a meet and greet with the principals, and getting used to daily Kindergarten routines. Each morning, you’ll learn new concepts during center time before spending your afternoons making delicious snacks and kooky crafts, playing on the playground, and enjoying some quiet, relaxing time. A highlight of the week will be our Pizza Pajama Party on Fun Friday. Sign up today! You definitely won’t want to be the only one to miss out! This camp is limited to rising Kindergarten students at Saint Pius X only. BASED ON SIZE, THIS CAMP WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO SEPARATE SECTIONS. BOTH KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS WILL WORK WITH EACH OF THE CAMPERS!!!
SPX CARNIVAL (rising K–9th grades - Mrs. Lucinda Hernandez & Mrs. Chrissy Verchick) – Come one, come all, to the BEST CAMP IN TOWN! You’ll practice the skills you need to win every prize at our big carnival on Friday. The carnival will feature favorite games like beanbag and ring toss, duck pond, basketball shooting contests, whack a clown, spin a prize, and water gun races. We’ll also have face painting, temporary tattoos, cake walks, bingo games, cotton candy, and snow cones –just to name a few. You will be especially excited to climb our rock wall and compete against your friends in an inflatable obstacle course. During the week leading up to the fantastic carnival on Friday, you will learn how to make balloon animals, practice face painting, “clown” around.” Friday’s Carnival will be out of sight! Enjoy rides, inflatable moon bounces, slides, prizes galore, and entertainment from local musicians. (Rock wall, obstacle course, and moon bounces will be rented from Space Walk of the Piedmont Triad.) Why wait until for the fairs to arrive in town this fall? You’ll enjoy it all at the SPX Carnival Camp! CAMPERS WILL BE DIVIDED INTO SEVERAL SMALL GROUPS ASSIGNED TO THEIR OWN CAMP COUNSELORS. THIS CAMP HAS REACHED MAXIMUM CAPACITY.
